The Nebraska Clog in woven hemp is a cool Italian take on a Scandinavian classic. Hemp is sustainable, moisture wicking and antimicrobial. With its porous nature, it is able to breath keeping you cool in the summer. During cooler months, air trapped by the fibers is warmed by the body.

Hemp is one of the strongest natural fibers that’s also comfortable, it retains its strength when wet and holds its shape longer, softening in rather than wearing out. From home to the office to weekend, the minimalist design of these clogs will take you anywhere in comfort.

The anatomical self-molding latex and thermoforming cork insole provide custom comfort, and the insole is completely removable.

Le Clare Footbeds are made to be easily removed for easy washing of the outer slipper and are interchangeable with other Le Clare footwear.

LeClare Slippers are exclusively handcrafted in our small-batch factory in Treviso, Italy. All of our slippers are crafted from materials wholly sourced from Italian manufacturers.

Cork Fit

If you are unfamiliar with wearing cork footwear, here are a few tips for helping your slippers become your most comfortable pair.

Cork insoles are a great choice for keeping your feet comfortable when you want to wear slippers, but they do require a period of breaking in before you can get the full comfort potential out of them. Slowly increasing the amount of time you wear them each day will break them in. This process will soon earn you some incredibly supportive and comfortable footwear you can walk in for as long as you'd like.

1.Remove the cork footbed and flex the shoe gently to soften up the footbed when first getting them. Cork footbeds may initially feel very stiff when first taking them. Use your hands to bend the insole back and forth in both directions, then grab the front and back to gently twist them in opposite directions simultaneously. You can also roll it against the floor or bend it against a heavy piece of furniture for the same effect.

2. Walk in them for only 30-45 minutes on the first day. Going longer can put more strain on your feet before the footbed's cork material has formed to your foot's unique contours. If they start hurting before 30 minutes, take them off anyway.

Wearing socks may help ease the stiffness of walking in them the first couple of times, and then start to transition to going barefoot.

3. Wear your slippers for 1-2 hours daily for the next few weeks. Walking in them each day will allow the footbed to loosen up and form to your foot better. Try to increase the length of time you walk in them each day to speed up the process. Follow this method to ensure your cork slippers are genuinely comfy before taking long walks in them. This is especially important if you're planning a vacation involving lots of walking.

4. Look for your foot's impression in the footbed to see if they're breaking in. As you wear them, you should begin to notice an outline of each of your feet in the footbed growing darker. This shows how they're becoming better formed to the shape of your feet each time you wear them. Committing to consistently walking in them at first is the only surefire method for making them more comfortable to wear.

Cleaning

If the insole is cork, it must be removed before washing the out shoe. The cork suede footbed can be cleaned with a suede or nubuck brush.
